Hello/Namaste

I am an applied economist specializing in the Economics of Education, Political Economy, and Development Economics. I currently serve as a Research Affiliate at the Institute for Fiscal Studies in London and as a Research and Evaluation Advisor for the NGO ASPIRE.

From October 2023 to January 2025, I was an Assistant Professor (Research) at the Centre for Global Learning at Coventry University. Prior to that, I spent 4.5 years at ASPIRE as Research Director and Senior Manager, leading impactful initiatives in education research and policy. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Research Economist at the World Bank in Washington, DC, where I collaborated with the Middle East and North Africa Vice-President and Chief Economist units on regional strategies and policy development.

My research focuses on addressing the challenges faced by marginalized communities, illuminating their historical struggles, current barriers, and potential paths forward. I conduct empirical research deeply connected to grassroots realities, aiming to help practitioners and policymakers translate data-driven insights into actionable policies that drive change.
